How your memorial keepsake is created.
Every memorial keepsake I create is a deeply personal tribute — designed not only to remember a life, but to honour the energy, personality, and moments that made that life unique. Each material is chosen with intention, because when something holds this much meaning, every detail matters.
Crystals & Symbolic Elements
Crystals are carefully selected and encased for their symbolic energy and gentle presence. Many families feel drawn to crystals that align with a loved one or family pet’s zodiac sign, reflecting personality traits, emotional bonds, and natural strengths. Others choose crystals for the feelings they represent — comfort, calm, protection, or love — allowing the keepsake to feel like a quiet extension of the one being remembered.
Alongside crystals, I encase silver charms, metal shavings and symbolic elements that represent hobbies, passions, and personality. These may reflect creativity, craftsmanship, curiosity, or the small details that made someone who they were. For some pieces, metal cogs are included to symbolise precious moments in time — reminders that every second shared formed part of a larger, meaningful journey.
Ashes & Personal Choice
Ashes can be incorporated in a way that feels right for each family. They may be gently blended with metal shavings, creating a subtle and discreet tribute, or presented more prominantly for those who wish their loved one’s presence to be clearly seen. There is no right or wrong — only what brings comfort and peace.
Colour is introduced using mica powders, chosen to symbolise a favourite colour, reflect personality, or complement the space where the keepsake will be displayed. This allows the memorial to live naturally within the home, not apart from it.
My memorial pyramids can also be personalised with an encased aluminium cuff, engraved with a name and date, or with something more expressive — a line from a favourite song, a phrase from a eulogy, or words spoken with love. These details ensure each piece is entirely unique.
Why Stainless Steel Is Chosen
Stainless steel is chosen for memorial jewellery not only for its strength, but for the quiet reassurance it offers. It is a dependable, enduring material designed to support something deeply meaningful — a name, a date, a connection that never fades.
As a medium-hard metal, stainless steel holds its shape beautifully and resists everyday wear. It is naturally scratch-resistant and made for pieces worn often, close to the heart. Unlike silver, it does not tarnish or discolour over time, remaining steady and unchanged without the need for constant care.
I use high-grade 316L stainless steel, trusted for medical purposes and body jewellery. It is hypoallergenic, kind to sensitive skin, and suitable for daily wear. Its smooth, non-porous finish offers a soft, refined sheen — modern, timeless, and comforting.
Stainless steel also allows for exceptional clear engraving. Names, dates and words of love are etched with depth and precision, remaining legible and true for years to come. The details do not blur, fade, or wear away — they stay exactly as they were intended.
Created With Care
Memorial jewellery and keepsakes are more than objects.
They are comfort. Connection. Remembrance.
Every element is placed with care, respect, and intention — not for perfection, but for meaning. These pieces are created to hold love gently and faithfully, offering a quiet strength that lasts, just like the memories they carry 🤍
